Spin maverick Warne, one of the best spinners in the game’s history, died unexpectedly of a heart attack while on vacation in Thailand at the age of 52 on the island of Ko Samui.

Warne was discovered unconscious in his Thailand villa on March 4, 2022, after a friend attempted to wake him but was unsuccessful.
The friend then desperately attempted CPR until an ambulance arrived and transported the cricket great to Thai International Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Dr. Peter Brukner, the former team doctor of the Australian men’s cricket team, believes Warne suffered heart trouble near the end of his life.
